How many watts does a Steam Deck charger need?
The Steam Deck draws up to 45W (15V/3A or 20V/2.25A) when charging while gaming. A 45W USB-C PD charger is the minimum for full-speed charging; a 65W charger gives extra headroom and can charge the Deck plus a phone at once. Lower-wattage chargers still work but charge slowly during demanding games.
